Omega has unveiled a fresh interpretation of its storied Railmaster collection for 2025, reimagining this railway-inspired timepiece in a perfect 38mm size that bridges vintage aesthetics with contemporary engineering.
The new Railmaster steps away from the vertically brushed dials and printed crosshairs of the 2017 generation, instead drawing closer to the 1957 original while maintaining visual harmony with the modern Aqua Terra family.
Classic Proportions And Sophistication
The rejuvenated case measures a modest 38mm in diameter with a 12.4mm thickness and a wrist-friendly 44.9mm lug-to-lug span, creating a balanced profile that works for a wide range of wrists. Alternating brushed and polished finishes elevate the stainless steel construction, while the screw-down crown ensures the impressive 150-meter water resistance that connects this model to the broader Seamaster family.
Two distinct dial variations showcase Omega’s attention to detail in this refresh. The grey-dialed reference 235.10.38.20.06.001 features a subtle black gradient that darkens dramatically around the perimeter, creating depth without sacrificing legibility. Large white Super-LumiNova numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 complement the signature arrow markers, providing excellent visibility while maintaining the watch’s historical DNA.
The beige/brown variant (reference 235.10.38.20.13.001) introduces a small seconds complication at 6 o’clock, with the seconds hand varnished in beige to harmonize with the vintage-toned Super-LumiNova on the hour numerals and markers. Here, the black gradient edge creates an even more striking effect against the warmer central dial color, evoking the patina of much-loved vintage timepieces.

Both models come paired with either leather straps or Omega’s refined bracelet featuring polished center links and a butterfly clasp with integrated micro-adjustment—a small but significant upgrade that dramatically improves everyday wearability.
Chronometric Excellence Inside and Out
Beneath the exhibition caseback, Omega equips these new Railmasters with two variants of its exceptional movements.
The grey center-seconds model houses the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8806, a proven movement found throughout Omega’s time-only Seamaster collection. Meanwhile, the beige small-seconds version features the less common Caliber 8804, bringing additional character to this distinctive offering.
Both movements share Omega’s impressive technical credentials: a free-sprung balance with silicon balance spring, 55-hour power reserve, 25,200 vph frequency, and METAS certification as Master Chronometers with remarkable 15,000 gauss magnetic resistance—a particularly appropriate feature for a watch originally designed for railway engineers working near powerful magnetic fields. The movements receive Omega’s signature white rhodium plating and Geneva waves decoration, visible through the transparent casebacks.
The newly updated Railmaster collection represents Omega’s thoughtful evolution of a historical design, striking an excellent balance between heritage and modernity. With prices starting at $5,400 for the grey dial on leather and extending to $6,400 for the small-seconds brown dial on bracelet, these non-limited models offer collectors and enthusiasts access to a distinctive interpretation of Omega’s railway heritage.
By carefully refining proportions, introducing subtle gradient dials, and packaging proven technology within classically inspired aesthetics, Omega has created a Railmaster that respects its past while remaining relevant for contemporary wearers—a perfect conductor for the brand’s journey through horological time.
